Starting this month, UK-registered companies are required to disclose climate-related financial information on a mandatory basis, using guidelines from the TCFD. The SEC also announced that it is going ahead with plans to require US public companies to include climate-related disclosures in their financial statement reports. As companies rush to gather as much information on their GHG emissions to comply with the requirements, access to data is of paramount importance.
